Café a Vin
Situated next-door to La Chapelle, Café a Vin is both very smart and popular. This tiny Cafe is buzzy, friendly and relaxed, and has a range of dining options from "at the bar" to al-fresco in the undercover heated rear garden terrace. Under the direction of Head Chef Jack Boast, the menu is ever-changing and innovative combining Italian and French influences. It was awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2011 Michelin Red Guide, and is proud of its £16.50 prix fixe menu for 2 courses. The lunch service begins at 11.30am - 3pm when a late-lunch menu is also available throughout the afternoon. The dinner menu is served from 6pm and there is also aperitivo time from 5pm to 7pm.Every Monday and Saturday night guests can also enjoy live piano music from 7pm to 11pm. Resident pianist Paul Eldridge plays a mix of mellow jazz as well as popular classics and is more than happy to play requests.
