Chris Galvin has joined the chef line-up at Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium, launching in 2018. ‘Lifelong fan’ Chris Galvin will design the menu and oversee service at its On Four lounges and suites during a series of matches next season as part a deal with Levy Restaurants UK. We are going to be asking ourselves the age old question grape or grain? We'll be pitching some incredible wines against exciting craft beers from Gipsy Hill brewery. We've been seriously impressed with some of the things this brewery does. Their recent collaboration with Kent brewery has produced a Japanese Pale Ale with Yuzu which is hands down one of the best things we've tasted all year. Bistrot de Luxe, Baker Street is celebrating it's 10 years on Saturday 5 September It will be 10 years this September since Chris and Jeff opened Bistrot de Luxe and to celebrate we will be hosting an exclusive dinner on Saturday 5 September. Our philosophy has always been that great food should be affordable for all, so there are two different price brackets, over two sittings, and wine pairings if you would like them also. The menu comprises of Bistrot classics new and old which head chef Tom Duffill and his team will be carefully crafting. Formed more than 30 years ago, the Guild exists to promote innovation, best practice and excellence within the SA wine industry. The highlight of the CWG calendar is an annual auction, held on the first Saturday of October, usually in Stellenbosch. Each winemaker is 'invited' to contribute a maximum of two wines into the auction, with never more than 100 x 6-bottle cases of each wine ever produced and sold. Galvin's Glorious 19th at Galvin Bistrot de Luxe and La Chapelle To celebrate the start of the shooting season, on Wednesday the 19th August, we will host a series of special menus with wine pairings at both Bistrot De Luxe and La Chapelle. And if that wasn't enough, we will also be including a classic grouse dish with game chips, watercress and bread sauce, which will be available on the - la carte menu at both restaurants.
