London restaurants - televised sporting events at Galvin Galvin Restaurants
Bistrot de Luxe
Positioned just two stops down the Metropolitan line from Wembley Stadium, Bistrot de Luxe is no stranger to top-flight sporting fixtures and has provided many an exhilarated football fan with a way to celebrate a win - or nurse a bruising loss with some fine cuisine of course. Not only that but the home of cricket - Lords itself - is just a 20 minute walk away: just enough time to pop over for lunch or while away a rain delay. New for this summer is the refurbished downstairs bar Le Cellar which not only has an extensive new cocktail list but is host to a big screen to show all of the sporting action in comfort and style. To add to this during Wimbledon fortnight we will be offering the time-honoured combination of strawberries & cream and a glass of Lanson champagne for £19.50 to bring the tournament to you at Baker Street.
As a Pub de Luxe rather than London restaurant, HOP has a chance to embrace the essence of what it is to be a pub and a big part of that for us is providing an ideal place to take in a sporting event with friends as well as high-quality cuisine. A proper pub has outside spaces as well and as luck would have it HOP is blessed with a front terrace which we can either shelter or open up as the weather demands and a (not so secret anymore) hidden garden to the rear with as much space as most London restaurants have in their entirety. It was made for summer garden parties and the addition of perfectly placed big screens turns it into a sporting paradise. We will not only be showing all of the big games but also matching them with summery dishes and sporting favourites as well as our favourite combination: perfectly chilled brewery-fresh Pilsner Urquell and a Galvin Dog Deluxe. During Wimbledon we will of course be serving strawberries & cream with its perfect match - a glass of Lanson champagne - for the special price of £19.50. HOP promises to be a palace of sport all summer long.
Not as much of a sporting venue as Bistrot or HOP but still a gem amongst London restaurants, La Chapelle will be offering its usual combination of Michelin-starred dining and peerless refinement all summer long and joining the Wimbledon spirit during the championship with strawberries & cream with a glass of your choice of Lanson. It also has the advantage of being next door to Galvin HOP so once you have had your lunch you can walk just a few paces to the terrace to watch the match, or not, as the mood takes you.
