Cocktails at Le Cellar bar Marylebone
Bistrot de Luxe Posted: 03/06/2016

We are proud to announce the opening of the new and improved Le Cellar bar at Bistrot de Luxe! Situated downstairs from the main restaurant, Le Cellar has always provided an intimate and engaging space to enjoy a glass of wine from our extensive cellars or range of premium spirits. We wanted to do more though so we’ve refurbished both the bar and the menu – we’ve still got the same ever-evolving extensive selection of wines and champagnes but we’ve added a range of bespoke cocktails created just for Le Cellar by star bar consultant Giancarlo Mancino. Acknowledged classics like Martinis made with award-winning Konicks Tail vodka or William ...

Bistrot de Luxe Posted: 27/05/2016

At Galvin we love our customers, they are the reason we do everything we do and although we have a rewarding loyalty scheme, we wanted to be able to do more for the people who dine with us often enough to have become friends, even family. So over the next year every month we’re arranging a series of trips and events designed to be real money-can’t-buy treats for a select few with plans to do even more for even more in a scheme we’re simply calling Galvin Loves Our Customers. So it was on Friday 20th May head chef of Bistrot de Luxe Tom Duffill and Galvin group wine buyer Andrea Briccarello took a group on the first of these trips ...

Bistrot de Luxe Posted: 20/11/2015

A great chef needs to have, among other things, creativity, passion, flair, skill and an unswerving commitment to quality. All of these qualities go into the making of our dishes and those which stand above all others have become our #Dishesofthedecade. To celebrate these and share a few of the skills which have served so well in making them, Chris and Jeff have made a series of short videos giving some top tips and to help any cook become a #KitchenInsider. The menu comprises of Bistrot classics new and old which head chef Tom Duffill and his team will be carefully crafting. On the wine front, Andrea Briccarello has picked out a beautiful 2005 vintage Château La Tour de By, Medoc Cru, Bourgeois to accompany the main course - in keeping with our theme...

Galvin's Glorious 19th
Bistrot de Luxe Posted: 13/07/2015

Galvin's Glorious 19th To celebrate the start of the shooting season, on Wednesday the 19th August, we will host a series of special menus with wine pairings at both Bistrot De Luxe and La Chapelle. And if that wasn’t enough, we will also be including a classic grouse dish with game chips, watercress and bread sauce, which will be available on the à la carte menu at both restaurants. Of the dishes, our very own Jeff Galvin says: "We will be serving this dish from the 19th August after the grouse have been hung for a week. In the past we have had fun (and stress) racing the birds down on the 12th, tracking them from the moor to the kitchen for waiting guests. ...
