Sip a little Sunshine
La Chapelle Posted: 16/10/2015

Well summer fell a bit flat didn’t it? Like a bottle of fizz without a cork left in a fridge overnight! With the sun in hiding I’ve been dreaming of sunnier climes and a cold white wine… With that in mind I’ve been California dreaming, or should that be California Drinking… viticulture is a huge concern over on the west coast of America – in fact if California were a separate country it would be the 4th largest wine producer in the world. That’s an awful lot of wine to get through. To save you the trouble I have picked some of my favourite wine makers from the sunshine state: Tuesday 20 October – A Modern Classic and Much More: Pahlme...

You just ...

Beer vs Wine Dinner at Bistrot de Luxe 5 October
La Chapelle Posted: 20/08/2015

We are going to be asking ourselves the age old question grape or grain? We'll be pitching some incredible wines against exciting craft beers from Gipsy Hill brewery. We've been seriously impressed with some of the things this brewery does. Their recent collaboration with Kent brewery has produced a Japanese Pale Ale with Yuzu which is hands down one of the best things we've tasted all year. Head Chef Tom Duffill has put together a superb menu to bring it all together which you can see below. The competition is on for the crown of best wine or beer match; every ...
