Chefs prepping for Essex

After a busy Chrismas period with the opening of Galvin HOP in Spitalfields, our chefs are now in full swing to get everything organised for The Green Man in Chelmsford. We are delighted that the plans have been approved and very soon we can start the transformation.

Executive Chef, Warren Geraghty, has been busy designing the menus and training himself in an in-depth Cellar Management Course. This 3 day course, including Cask Ale training, gave Warren the opportunity for practical ‘hands-on’ experience of all the cellar equipment and practices we will use to run the pub. The course was offered by Adnams, a British brewery company founded in 1872 in Southwold, Suffolk. The company produces cask ale and pasteurised bottled beers.

The reason I took this course is because I want to ensure that the beer we serve at The Green Man is of the highest quality

But we wouldn’t be Galvin if we didn’t have the food covered as well. Click here to view a sample of the menu and below is a little sneak peak of the Great British dishes we intend to serve:

And although its still a bit of a wait we cant wait to open the doors to The Green Man, but in the meantime, we will will keep you posted on the progress!
