Galvin Team-building at The Green Man Galvin Restaurants
If there’s one sure-fire way to make a job fun around here it’s to get everyone involved and when you’ve got around 300 beech trees to plant the course is clear: gather the Galvin team and turn tree planting into a team-building exercise! So it was that on Friday 22nd April Chris, Jeff and David Galvin lead a landscaping crew of head chefs and senior staff to start laying out the grounds of The Green Man in Chelmsford - under the watchful eye of the head gardener of course. Hands more used to wielding kitchen knives picked up forks and spades and in less than a day all of the saplings were in place – no mean feat! With the basic shape in place already the garden is already shaping up to be a magical place with a decking area by the river perfect for warm afternoons and a play area for the little ones. Work is now thoroughly underway and The Green Man will be opening its doors to all in early autumn – we can’t wait!
