Grouse Dinner on Monday 20 August 

To celebrate the start of the British game season, we are hosting a one night only Grouse Dinner paired with exceptional wines. 

With red grouse hunting season declared officially open on 12 August, Jeff Galvin and his team will host the dinner on 20 August, as the birds will have been hung for a week.

The five-course menu priced at £130 per person, features Pressé of Landes quail & foie gras, pomegranate & apple, Poached wild halibut, shellfish emulstion, cucumber & caviar, Roast Scottish grouse, boulangère of leg, savoy cabbage & wild mushrooms, Brillat-Savarin with late Summer truffle, grape chutney & walnuts and Provence apricot and Valrhona chocolate soufflé. All courses are complemented by top quality wines carefully chosen by La Chapelle’s Sommelier.

Chef-Patron Jeff Galvin said "Game is a wonderful wild product that tastes like nothing else. It is always varied with different flavour notes which invites exciting wine pairings. The red grouse is a completely wild bird unique to Britain and a seasonal delicacy. In the past it was traditional to eat game on the Glorious Twelfth, but we prefer to wait a few days to ensure the birds are in prime condition.”
